“One of the UK’s most picturesque open-air theatres” has announced its 2025 season which will feature two musicals, 42nd Street and Grease.
Producer Celia Mackay and director and choreographer Lee Proud worked at Kilworth House Theatre in North Kilworth, Leicestershire on both Hairspray in 2023 and Singin’ in the Rain earlier in 2024. They will reunite for 42nd Street, which will run from Tuesday 3 June until Sunday 13 July, and Grease, which will run from Tuesday 29 July until Sunday 7 September 2025.
Mackay said, "I'm delighted to be joined again by such a fantastic creative team for both productions. Lee Proud will be directing and choreographing while Philip Whitcomb will return to Kilworth to design both the set and costumes. Chris Whybrow is sound designer and Jason Taylor lighting designer. New to this amazing team is musical supervisor and director Rick Coates.
"The magnificent 42nd Street joyously taps its way into Kilworth followed by summer-loving, electrifying Grease. Kilworth is hopelessly devoted to a fantastic 2025 season."
Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 5 November.
