Opera North new activities for young musicians

Opera North’s £18m redevelopment project, the Howard Opera Centre, will offer over 300 places for young musicians aged of 8 to 19 years and Opera North Youth Orchestra launched. Young singers can register their interest online now, with auditions to be held in the summer.

Opportunities will include the chance for singers from 8 years to audition for the Opera North Youth Company, a Brass Academy and a Woodwind and Horn Academy at Yeadon Town Hall in June, a Strings Academy at the Howard Opera Centre in August, the return of the Opera North Orchestra Academy in the summer holidays, the launch of the Opera North Youth Orchestra and Opera North Creative Camp at Herd Farm.
