Applications remain open for the 17th annual PULSE Festival presented by Ipswich's New Wolsey Theatre and festival directors China Plate.
Submissions are invited for finished pieces, the Suitcase Prize and Scratch Performances for which submissions should be of new professional work or work by a new and emerging company, either finished or still in development.
The Suitcase Prize of £1,000 recognises environmentally and economically sustainable theatre and entries are restricted to work which could tour on public transport in luggage carried only by those taking part.
Performances of all those shortlisted for The Suitcase Prize will be presented at the Festival and will be judged by a panel.
The Festival has a day of Scratch Performances made up of 20 minute long works in progress.
PULSE Festival is a multi–genre, part curated part open call event showcasing national and international artists; it will take place from 1 to 10 June.
The deadline for applications is 6 January (applicants will be notified by 3 March).
