West End hit musical comedy Avenue Q will play Greenwich Theatre before setting off on a national tour.
Avenue Q received Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book for composers and lyricists Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and book–writer Jeff Whitty in 2004.
This show which features spoof Sesame Street–style puppets and puppeteers alongside human actors follows the arrival of wet–behind–the–ears recent college graduate Princeton at Avenue Q where he finds Gary Coleman fixing the toilets, unfulfilled girl next door Kate Monster, Internet sexpert Trekkie Monster and closet gay Republican Rod.
