The newly formed United Ukrainian Ballet, created by dancers who fled Ukraine and have found a haven in The Hague, is performing a new Giselle created by renowned Ukrainian choreographer Alexei Ratmansky at London’s Coliseum this September.
English National Opera and Birmingham Royal Ballet will provide the orchestra, set and costumes.
The personal journeys of the refugee dancers, "resonate powerfully with Giselle’s timeless themes of love, betrayal, death and mercy."
