Founding member of Queen Brian May will appear via video projection as the Newscaster / Chorus in a new production of Olivier Award-winning rock musical Return to the Forbidden Planet.
Loosely based on The Tempest, the show features rock 'n’ roll classics such as "Great Balls of Fire", "This is a Man’s World", "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood", "Who’s Sorry Now", "Teenager in Love", "Young Girl" and "Heard It Through the Grapevine".
Return To The Forbidden Planet is directed by Bob Carlton. Also in the cast are Steve Simmonds, Sean Needham, Christine Holman, Greg Last, Mark Newnham, Jonathan Markwood, Frido Ruth, Sarah Scowen, Georgina Field, Callum Hughes, Joseph Mann and Hannah Howcroft.
The show will tour from January after opening at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch in November.
