Sadler’s Wells plays host to a new initiative that will nurture work from emerging artists: Wild Card.
Three times a season artists will be invited to present a programme of performances that will benefit in their development from the support of the Theatre, one of the UK's leading dance houses, with a long and significant pedigree.
The BELLY of the Beast will be the first production from Bellyflop—a group of dance artists who run an online magazine in parallel to their dance and performance practices. Dancer Dan Canham who has worked with DV8 Physical Theatre and Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre amongst others, will present 30 Cecil Street together with a new piece featuring performance artist Augusto Corrieri, Pig Dyke and 18 Molly dancers.
In March dancer, choreographer and founding member of BirdGang Dance Company, Ivan Blackstock, presents a new work.
All performances will take place at the Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis Studio:
