Second Hand Dance’s The Sticky Dance, an immersive show for young children and their families, will tour this spring, with performances in theatres and schools around the UK, at New York’s Lincoln Center and at Sadler’s Wells’ new London venue, Sadler’s Wells East.
Established in 2013, Second Hand Dance is run by Co-DirectorsRosie Heafford, who is disabled, and Claire Summerfield, who is non-disabled, who have co-created by this show featuring three dancers shimmying through the audience weaving a tapestry of sticky tape.
The Sticky Dance is open for two hours for each performance, with a recommended time in the space of 45–60 minutes, although guests are welcome to stay as long as they wish, with entrance slots available every 15 minutes.
The Sticky Dance for Sensory Groovers features sensory adapted performances designed for neurodivergent audiences with a smaller capacity and allowing children to interact with dance in their own way.
