Sergei Polunin's twice-postponed London debut as Romeo at The Royal Albert Hall is now scheduled for Wednesday 1 December 2021.

Polunin performs alongside Alina Cojocaru as Juliet in the UK première of dancer and choreographer Johan Kobborg's new version of Romeo and Juliet, postponed from April 2020 and May 2021 due to COVID-19. Existing tickets purchased for earlier performance dates will remain valid for the new date.

Set to Prokofiev’s score and with a set design by Canadian-based sculptor David Umemoto, the story follows the narrative of Shakespeare’s play with the classical ballet vocabulary as its core language.

The world première of the ballet was in the Arena di Verona, Italy in 2019.
