Kiss of the Earth

Using a cast of Lecoq-trained actors and two classical pianists Concert Theatre presents Kiss Of The Earth, a work in their signature style which combines physical theatre with classical text and music.

Bringing together Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring the wordless piece looks at the common theme of sacrifice, with the music telling the story of the star–crossed lovers and movements their emotions.

Having toured last year, Kiss of the Earth returns with visits to the Cockpit Theatre and Greenwich Theatre in London and Stratford Arts House in Stratford-upon-Avon next month, with further dates in the spring and summer at Newbury Spring Festival, Bury St Edmunds Festival, Belper Festival, Deal Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
