Marcus Collins, runner-up in The X-Factor, is to play Jack in Derby LIVE’s panto Jack and the Beanstalk.
Producer Paul Holman said, “Marcus brings a wealth of talent plus charm and charisma to the production.
“He’s been receiving great reviews and fabulous feedback from his appearance in the current UK tour of Hairspray and I’m thrilled he’ll be making his panto debut at the Assembly Rooms this Christmas.”
Peter Ireson for Derby LIVE added, “We’re very excited to have secured Marcus to play Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk.
“He’s an incredibly talented and popular performer who we know will attract and delight our younger audiences who are increasingly rediscovering what great fun and entertainment a quality pantomime can be.”
Collins will join comic Mike McClean and dame Don Maclean in Jack and the Beanstalk at Derby’s Assembly Rooms from 4 December until 5 January.
