Dan Phillips curates The Triumph Of Imagination Over Intelligence

Next month Bracknell's South Hill Park Arts Centre presents a three-part season of work looking at LGBT history, The Triumph Of Imagination Over Intelligence: 10 Years Of Civil Partnerships.

Curated by Dan Phillips, the season is made up of a musical, Richard the First, a rehearsed reading of new play Needle Work, and two talks on gay characters in contemporary performances.

Phillips has said, "despite the political changes in LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) rights, the greatest power is visibility. It's great to be involved in highlighting a minority group who still struggle to gain visibility in the arts".

  • Needle Work – 12 and 13 March
  • Post–show Talk: ‘homo-theatrically’ – 12 and 13 March
  • Richard The First – 30 April to 1 May
