The One Festival returns to London's The Space in January. Celebrating solo performances there are 17 shows split across four programmes running across two weeks.
A re–working of Racine’s classic Berenice and physical theatre piece Circles have a short run each before a dark exposé of the media industry starts the venue's new season proper.
Written by playwright and TV producer, Dan Davies, The Domestic Extremists, first saw light at the venue's playwright development programme Script6, and this production will feature post-show discussions and an Extreme Response from emerging writers.
Two novels adapted for the stage follow: first award–winning D B C Pierre's Vernon God Little adapted by Tanya Ronder and John Fowles’s The Collector adapted by Mark Healy.
Also in the season is the UK première of Birdphobia, a surreal examination of a modern family which has a short run in April.
The Space is a performing arts and community centre offering a programme of theatre, music, comedy and dance events.
