We Raise Our Hands in the Sanctuary

The theatre work in the forthcoming season at South East London's Albany and its programming off–shoot the Canada Water Culture Space is a mix of commissions, home–grown and visiting performances.

Inky Cloak’s 1980’s club scene set drama We Raise Our Hands in the Sanctuary and Debs Gatenby's show about the pursuit of happiness A Place Called Happiness have both been developed as part of the Albany’s Hatched programme whilst Greg Wohead's Celebration, Florida and Fire in the Machine from Sounds Like Chaos have been commissioned.

The UK’s leading African theatre company Tiata Fahodzi visits with good dog, as does Ridiculusmus with Give Me Your Love.

The Hatched work-in-progress presentations are sound is sound is sound (music), Chill Pill (spoken word and music) and Cabaret Playroom (cabaret).
