Leading black UK theatre company Talawa is on a UK tour with its outdoor production The Tide, a multi-disciplinary production incorporating live music, dance and theatre to explore the experiences of new arrivals in the UK as they navigate a new land.
The Tide is Talawa’s first show designed exclusively for outdoor settings and is touring until September 2022 at festivals across the UK.
Co-created by Ryan Calais Cameron (For Black Boys Who Have Committed Suicide When the Hue Gets Too Heavy) and choreographer Jade Hackett (Hex, National Theatre; Get Up Stand Up, Lyric), The Tide highlights experiences of migration in the UK.
