Theatre by the Lake, Keswick will be staging a revival of Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre's production of The 39 Steps this summer.
Dave Hearn, Lucy Keirl, Olivia Onyehara and Niall Ransome perform a show that mixes the Hitchcock masterpiece with a spy novel, and adds a dash of Monty Python to create a fast-paced whodunnit.
The Olivier Award-winning play is packed with comedy, romance and colourful characters (all played by the cast of four). Notable scenes include the chase on the Flying Scotsman, the first-ever theatrical biplane crash and a death-defying finale.
Dave Hearn is a founder member of Mischief Theatre, the award-winning comedy creators of Goes Wrong and much more. Niall Ransome is also a member of Mischief, and returns to Theatre by the Lake after his role in Around the World in 80 Days.
