Assembly Roxy

Emerging Scottish performance companies and practitioners are invited to apply for the second Assembly Roxy Theatre Award.

This scheme was established last year to provide support for new Scottish work to be seen at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Applications are accepted from Scotland-based companies or performers who are currently unfunded and who will have a devised, physical or improvised work with a running time of 60 minutes ready to debut at this year's Festival Fringe. Up to six preview or work in-progress performances are allowed as part of the development process.

The ART Award winner will receive up to £5,500 worth of support, including Fringe and Joint Venue Brochure registration fees, rehearsal space, and development and promotional support.

The successful company will perform their work at the Roxy Downstairs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018.

The application process starts with the submission of fifty words about the show, company and creative biographies totalling no more than 300 words and the draft script or performance structure. Shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed.

The ART Award application pack is available online and the closing date is now 22 January.
