Tuesday will see the publication of its report by The House of Lords Communications Committee on the future of the UK’s creative industries.
Looking at whether and how the UK’s position as a world leader in the creative industries is at risk from technology and international competition, evidence was taken from a wide range of participants at the end of last year from across film, television, gaming, IT services, music and performing arts, museums and galleries and publishing.
In considering the position of the creative industries, the report will address innovation and tax policy, technological disruption, education and skills, and business support schemes and the challenges they each present.
The House of Lords Communications Committee is chaired by Baroness Stowell.
