The new season at West London's Finborough Theatre opens later this month with the first production in more than 50 years of Variation On A Theme by Terence Rattigan. Rachael Stirling stars in this play inspired by La Dame Aux Camélias which is directed by Michael Oakley.

Continuing the French theme, the Finborough presents first the world première of a new musical based on Émile Zola’s Thérèse Raquin by Craig Adams and Nona Shepphard and then Martine, a classic from the 1920s by Jean-Jacques Bernard. Tom Littler will direct this translation by John Fowles.

Accompanying shows on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays are The Hard Man by Tom McGrath and Jimmy Boyle, a memoir of prison life not seen in London for more than 25 years, the UK première of Almost Near by Pamela Carter and the European première of Velocity by Canadian writer Daniel Macdonald.

This months also sees the re–opening of the bar beneath the theatre under its original name, The Finborough Arms.
