The award-winning The Collision of Things plays Brighton's Nightingale Theatre

The Nightingale Theatre in Brighton is to receive Arts Council England funding for its Artist Development Project.

Dedicating to creating and supporting writing, performance, dance and film work for small spaces, this Brighton–based venue will be able to provide development opportunities for artists as well as presenting events made specifically for the small scale.

Artistic Director Steven Brett says: “We are extremely grateful to ACE for what amounts to a substantial endorsement of our work and ethos. We can now forge ahead, supporting artists to create art anywhere and present performances which carry the stamp 'small’ with pride. Look out for new initiatives and performances!“

Opening next week at the venue is Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus presented by the Academy of Creative Training followed by award-winning show The Collision of Things from Move to Stand. For further information and booking visit www.nightingaletheatre.co.uk.
