A new guide to acting is published later this month. Written by Guildhall teacher Ken Rea, it focuses on the qualities that make one actor stand out from the others, covering core skills but also how to be bolder and fresher and take control of both life and career.
The Outstanding Actor, Seven Keys To Success features techniques and exercises for both on stage and screen acting and in everyday life, drawing on research in sports, business and positive psychology and the exclusive advice of professionals such as Dame Judi Dench and Al Pacino.
Ken Rea is the senior acting teacher at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama; his alumnae include Damian Lewis, Ewan McGregor, Dominic West, Michelle Dockery, Orlando Bloom and Daniel Craig.
Rea has worked as an actor, teacher, director across the globe.
As a writer, he has a number of plays and adaptations to his name; Rea has also worked as a feature writer for The Times and as theatre critic for The Guardian.
