Playwrights’ Progress - a new programme from the Writers Guild of Great Britain

UK–based writers are invited to submit an extract from an unpublished, unperformed work to Playwrights’ Progress, a programme which will support eight selected participants through a script development workshop or read–through.

Emerging and established writers can apply to take part in this all-expenses-paid initiative. The first act of a full-length script of up to two and a half hours running time should be sent with a résumé of and a cast list for the whole work plus production notes. Full scripts will only required from the shortlisted participants.

A biographical note including at least one production for public performance or equivalent and a letter of application are also required to be sent by mail and in electronic form to the Writers' Guild of Great Britain, 40 Rosebery Avenue, London EC1R 4RX, FAO Richard Pinner, e-mail [email protected].
