Red Shoes: extra dates at Birmingham Hippodrome

Matthew Bourne’s production of The Red Shoes which has already sold out its first visit to Birmingham Hippodrome in February is to return in July 2017 as part of an extended UK tour.

Ashley Shaw who was Aurora in Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty at Sadler’s Wells in 2015 plays Victoria Page, a girl who dreams of being a great dancer. She shares the role with Cordelia Braithwaite and Katrina Lyndon.

Dominic North plays Julian Craster, the man with whom Victoria falls in love. He shares the role with Chris Trenfield and Andrew Monaghan.

The Red Shoes returns to the Hippodrome from Wednesday 19 until Saturday 22 July.
