Villain: Marc Baylis will play Captain Hook

Half the tickets for Mansfield Palace Theatre’s Christmas 2016 production, Peter Pan, have already been sold.

Marc Baylis will play Captain Hook. He is best known for his role as Rob Donavan in ITV's Coronation Street for which he was nominated as best newcomer at both the National Television Awards and the Inside Soap Awards.

His theatre credits include Courtall in Hannah Cowley’s The Belle's Stratagem at Southwark Playhouse in 2011. His previous panto appearances include the Prince in Sleeping Beauty at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley in 2015.

Baylis said, “Captain Hook has always been one of my favourite villains, so I’m very much looking forward to playing him in Mansfield. It's going to be great fun!”

Adam Moss will be Smee. He returns to Mansfield after playing Silly Billy in Sleeping Beauty in 2014.

Peter Pan runs at Mansfield Palace Theatre from Saturday 26 November until Saturday 31 December.
