There has been a change of casting for the national tour of William Nicholson’s Shadowlands.
Denis Lill is to take over the role of Warnie from Tony Slattery who has had to withdraw for health reasons. Lill's credits include The Royal, Only Fools and Horses and Rumpole of the Bailey.
Jon and Anne-Marie Woodley of producers Birdsong Productions have said “We are very sorry that Tony has had to leave and along with all the company of Shadowlands, we send our love and best wishes.
"We are delighted that Denis has so kindly agreed to step in at such short notice to take on the role of Warnie. Having both previously worked with Denis, we know he will be a lovely addition to the talented cast and crew of Shadowlands."
Alastair Whatley directs this new production which will open on 18 February at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford.
