Towards Vivencia launches online Summer Intensive training for dancers
12 June 2020
Reporter: Vera Liber
The first ever Towards Vivencia Summer Intensive will be a festival that funds dancers to participate, with a line-up of teachers and choreographers to share their expertise with dancers worldwide, running from 22 June to 12 July 2020 with a range of workshops, lectures, documentaries, concerts, networking and more.
Throughout the COVID-19 lockdown, Towards Vivencia has been running a weekly schedule of online classes for dancers worldwide in a programme reaching more than 6,000 participants, employing 42 teachers and programming 300+ classes.
When dancers register for the summer intensive classes, they will be asked for a small fee per session to secure their place to cover the cost of running the intensive and to pay the teachers and team.
The organisation is asking for help with funding and sponsorship with the aim to fully reimburse participating dancers, but if 50% of the running costs are raised from outside sources, it will return 50% of registration fees to all participants.
