At the end of the month Good With People will play New York's 59E59 Theaters as part of the Brits Off Broadway festival, an event which showcases new British work: the play will be seen as part of Scotland Week.

The play is set in Helensburgh, west Scotland, in the past a holiday resort but now home to Britain’s nuclear defence programme. It is written by David Harrower and directed by George Perrin.

In the cast are Blythe Duff who has worked extensively in theatre on both sides of the border as well as in opera for both Scottish Opera and English National Opera—her television work includes playing Jackie Reid in ITV 1’s Taggart—and Andrew Scott-Ramsay whose theatre credits include earlier work for the Traverse, the National Theatre of Scotland, Citizens Theatre and Royal Lyceum Theatre. His television include Doctors and Sirens.

Good With People is a Traverse Theatre co-production with Datum Point in association with Paines Plough.
