More than forty national and international artists are already scheduled to appear as part of a new festival designed to "celebrate the diversity of Jewishness" this autumn.
Titled Tsitsit, the fringe festival will be multi-disciplinary with events taking place in a number of cities including London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle.
Alastair Falk, the person behind Tsitsit, said, "it’s good to remind people that Jewish culture isn’t only about a history of persecution and conflict.
“Think of it as British Jewry’s Got Talent. If you are a Jewish comedian, musician, actor or dramatist of any age, it’s not too late to throw your hat into the ring.”
