Literary favourites Birdsong and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas make the leap from page to stage at Liverpool Playhouse.

Two much-loved novels about love and friendship in the backdrop of war have been adapted. John Boyne’s The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas tells a heart-wrenching tale of an unlikely bond between two innocent boys in World War Two, whilst Sebastian Faulks’s Birdsong is a story of love and courage during the Great War.

The first—a world stage première—plays from March 30 to April 4 with Birdsong from April 14-18.
