In the centenary year of Dylan Thomas's birth and the 60th anniversary of the play's British première, Clwyd Theatre Cymru’s acclaimed production of Under Milk Wood comes to Liverpool Playhouse from May 19-24.

Directed by Liverpool Everyman founder Terry Hands and featuring Owen Teale, it offers a journey “into the roots of language and the soul of Wales.”

Teale won Best Actor Tony Award for his performance in A Doll’s House on Broadway and recently starred alongside Zoë Wanamaker in the West End production of Passion Play by Peter Nichols.

On television he is famed for his role as Ser Alliser in the HBO adaptation of Game of Thrones.
