Complicite's first family show is amongst the highlights of the Unicorn Theatre's spring season.
Adapted from the best-selling trilogy Lionboy by Zizou Corder, it tells the story of eleven-year-old Charlie Ashanti who can talk to cats, a special skill that comes in handy if you are on the run with a pride of performing lions from the circus.
Felines also feature in Christopher William Hill’s, Mister Holgado, a gruesomely funny new play for brave over eights which will have its world première in March.
Italy’s Compagnia Rodisio will work with local school children to produce Carnival and Something Very Far Away, a story of loss and grieving told without words through projection, puppetry and music returns to the Unicorn.
There is also fun on offer for the under fives with Not My Friend Anymore, Aston’s Stones and We Dance Wee Groove, and Oily Cart’s Tube is presented in two versions—for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities and for children on the autism spectrum.
