Cromer’s Pavilion Theatre, located on the pier, has reopened with a specially created show.

Strictly Variety, which regularly sells out, employs local technicians and entertainers including magicians, impressionists, singers and comedians who find themselves at home and who would normally be away performing summer seasons.

Olly Day, who compères the show which runs Thursday to Sunday, said, “I was thrilled that my first day back at work was at the end of the pier and it's great to be working with some of the finest acts in the entertainment business who, like me, are excited about getting back in front of a live audience again.”

The venue has been extensively adapted to comply with 'social distancing' and hygiene rules backstage and on-stage. Seating capacity has been reduced from 460 to 100 and new aisles have been arranged for the audience to move around safely. Fogging machines will sanitise the auditorium.
