Vertical Dance's Resurgam (I will rise) will be on the façade of St Paul's Cathedral as part of the Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, an outdoor festival of free arts and culture.
The 17-day festival of free outdoor arts and theatre takes place from 25 August to 10 September 2023 in public spaces across Greenwich and East London.
Resurgam, which will be staged on the south side of St Paul’s Cathedral, in the City of London, from 31 August to 2 September, has been created by vertical dance company Banderloop, a Californian based company known for its innovation in vertical performance, fusing mid-air choreography with rock climbing techniques and original music.
This event also celebrates the 300-year anniversary of the cathedral’s architect, Sir Christopher Wren, who also has a strong connection to Greenwich, where he designed both the Old Royal Naval College and the Royal Observatory.
