Gŵyl 2021

Following a year of challenges for all four festivals, Festival of Voice, FOCUS Wales, Other Voices Cardigan and Aberystwyth Comedy Festival have come together to stage Gŵyl 2021, a free online festival of local and international talent.

Running over the weekend of 6 and 7 March, Gŵyl 2021 is available to watch via BBC Cymru Wales offering music, talk, film and comedy from established and emerging creatives.

Highlights include pieces from Cate Le Bon in collaboration with Gruff Rhys, award-winning Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Tim Burgess’s Listening Party, Catrin Finch and Adelaide Fringe Festival winner Carys Eleri.

Neal Thompson of FOCUS Wales said, "we are delighted that FOCUS Wales has been able to work in partnership with three of Wales' best known festivals to create Gŵyl 2021. After what has been a dark and difficult year for us all, we look forward to a brighter future and to coming together and celebrating Wales' rich and diverse cultural offering, with a programme of outstanding music and comedy."

Details of the programming are available on the BBC web site. All events have been recorded in adherence with relevant coronavirus guidelines.
