Newcastle Theatre Royal reopens with Six the Musical which runs from Monday to Saturday, having been rescheduled from 31 May to 5 June.

The Weebles, one of Northern Stage’s Neighbourhood Events, is an audio experience which can be listened to on Littlehaven Beach in South Shields, where the group of statues called Conversation Piece but known locally as The Weebles is sited, or at home until 31 August. All details, including the audio download, area available on the Northern Stage web site.

Until Saturday (no performances Monday) at 7:30PM, Alphabetti, in partnership with Paula Penman (performer), Mark Calvert (director), Laura Lindow (writer) and Jeremy Bradfield (musician), presents Pause, an uplifting love story about film and how we use it to make day-to-day blockbusting escapes. A limited number of socially distanced tickets for the live performances are available and every performance will be live-steamed. All tickets, which must be booked in advance, are Pay What You Feel and are available from the Alphabetti web site.

At The Witham in Barnard Castle on Sunday (18) at 2:00, a cast of three professional opera singers from Opera North and an accordionist present a new whistle-stop adventure, inspired by Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Suitable for all the family, this is part of the ‘Witham Unlocked’ outdoor summer programme. Pay what you decide on the day. Places are limited so booking is essential.

From Monday to Wednesday, The Ladyboys of Bangkok come to Middlesbrough Theatre and then on Thursday, David Benson and Jack Lane present Dad’s Army Radio Show.

From Thursday to Saturday (various times), Theatr Iolo brings Baby, Bird and Bee to Darlington’s South Park, part of Theatre Hullabaloo’s Hullabaloo in the Park series of summer events. This performance is aimed at babies aged from 6 to 18 months. The show runs for 25 minutes and is followed by a 20-minute “Stay and Play” session. Booking—online—is essential.

On Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:45, Harrogate Theatre presents These Hills Are Ours by Daniel Bye and Boff Whalley in St Wilfred’s.
