The Wind in the Willows (RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate)

The Weebles, one of the Northern Stage’s Neighbourhood Events, is an audio experience which can be listened to on Littlehaven Beach in South Shields, where the group of statues called Conversation Piece but known locally as The Weebles, is sited, or at home until Tuesday. All details, including the audio download, are available on the Northern Stage web site.

An updated version of Shine, written and performed by Kema Sikazwe, runs at Live Theatre from Thursday until 18 September.

Pod, a new play by Arabella Arnott, produced by Coracle in association with Alphabetti Theatre, runs at Alphabetti from Tuesday until 18 September.

On Friday (7:30) and Saturday (2:00 and 7:30), Northumberland Theatre Company (NTC) presents Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest at Alnwick Playhouse.

The Pantaloons bring their version of Pride and Prejudice to Middlesbrough Town Hall Courtyard at 6:30 on Wednesday.
