The Tricycle Theatre’s production of Moira Buffini’s Handbagged comes to Newcastle Theatre Royal from Monday to Saturday.

In Stage 3 at Northern Stage this week on Wednesday is Young People’s First in 3, current projects in the region created by young people aged 16 to 25. On Thursday and Friday at 11AM and 2PM Daniel Bye performs Error 404 (for age 8+).

In Live Theatre’s Main House on Friday, Mixtape returns with its special Halloween show and on Sunday there’s another in the 10 Minutes to… series. This time it’s 10 minutes to… Light the Fuse and there are five new plays to see.

At 1PM and 3PM on Monday, The Cat in the Hat comes to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House.

The Rooms continues at Alphabetti Theatre in Newcastle until Saturday.

At Dance City at 2PM on Wednesday, C12 Dance Theatre presents Shhh!, a story of “love, flying overdue library books and a dancing librarian.” This is part of the Juice Festival, as is Just Jam Intl: Jam and Juice, produced by Badtastecru, at 7PM on Saturday.

Dreamboats and Miniskirts comes to Sunderland Empire from Monday to Saturday.

Publick Transport presents We Are Brontë at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday.

From Thursday to Saturday at 2PM, with an extra show on Friday at 3:45, the Customs House presents children’s show Wendy the Witch and the Full Moon Party.

At the Queen’s Hall in Hexham at 2:30 on Thursday, Lempen Puppet Theatre Company presents Little Frankenstein for age 5+, a “gentle horror for little horrors!”.

English Touring Opera comes to the Gala in Durham on Monday with Werther and on Tuesday with The Tales of Hoffman.

Bear & Butterfly from Theatre Hullabaloo and Theatre by the Lake comes to ARC Stockton on Thursday at 11:30AM and 2:30PM.

At the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond on Thursday, The Devil’s Violin presents The Forbidden Door (for age 12+), followed on Saturday at 2PM by Goblin with Mr Tiger Goes Wild (for age 3+).

English Touring Opera comes to Harrogate Theatre this week with Massanet’s Werther on Thursday, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande on Friday and Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffman on Saturday.
