Chitty Chitty Bang Bang continues at Newcastle’s Theatre Royal until Sunday.

Julie, Zinnie Harris’s update of Strindberg’s Miss Julie, continues at Northern Stage until 18 June.

Mobile, a Live Theatre, Marlowe Theatre and The Paper Birds production, opens in a caravan in Live Theatre’s Live Garden on Wednesday and runs until 26 June. Only 40 minutes long, it is performed numerous times a day.

Cranked Anvil presents an updated version of Hamlet at Alphabetti from Tuesday to Saturday.

On Wednesday Stan’s Café presents Made Up in the Studio at the Customs House in South Shields.

Made Up comes to Alnwick Playhouse on Tuesday.

Dance theatre piece Sleight of Hands is in the Henry Travers Studio at The Maltings in Berwick on Friday.

Made Up comes to Seaton Delaval Arts Centre on Saturday.

From Wednesday to Saturday, less is MORE and Middlesbrough Theatre present The Miscast Bard, an alternative night at the musicals—music inspired by Shakespeare.

And Made Up is at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre on Thursday.

Darlington Civic Theatre is now closed for major refurbishment until autumn 2017.
