Wolverhampton hits right note with ghostly musical

Ghost the Musical, at Wolverhampton Grand next June

Management at Wolverhampton Grand has announced that the theatre has secured the Midlands première of Ghost the Musical as part of its first UK tour.

Casting is yet to be announced for the show which will be in Wolverhampton from 3 until 15 June.

The theatre has also announced that Joe Pasquale will lead next year’s panto Sleeping Beauty. He has not been in the Wolverhampton panto since the 1996 production of Peter Pan alongside Michaela Strachan and Leslie Grantham.

Other shows announced for next year by the Grand include: the world première of the stage adaptation of Cadfael: The Virgin In The Ice from 6 until 9 March; Don Warrington and Gwen Taylor in the West End production of Driving Miss Daisy from 9 until 13 April; and the Reduced Shakespeare Company with The Complete Works of William Shakespeare on 20 April.

A new stage adaptation of Grandpa In My Pocket should delight children and their families from 19 until 22 June.

As a summer treat the theatre will stage Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita from 19 until 31 August.
