The Women Centre Stage project, aimed at providing more and better roles for women, has been launched by Sphinx Theatre.
The five-month project started with a 'Hothouse' event which saw the keynote speech from Dame Janet Suzman and a panel discussion featuring Tanika Gupta MBE, Penelope Skinner, Tanya Moodie, Rosemary Squire and Jules Haworth.
The project will conclude in March 2015 with a Festival of works in progress at the National Theatre.
