Festive favourites Scrooge the Musical and Miracle on 34th Street plus Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and West Side Story are some of the new shows lined up at Birmingham’s New Alexandra Theatre.

General manager Andrew Lister said, “We’re delighted to present another season of world-class theatre that lives up to our ambition to cater to the widest possible audience, and ensure there really is something for everyone.”

Legendary actor Tommy Steele stars in Scrooge the Musical which visits the venue from 28 October until 2 November.

Miracle on 34th Street The Musical brings one of the most popular Christmas films of all time to the stage. Kris Kringle will take audiences through an all-singing, all-dancing adaptation of the Christmas favourite from 5 until 7 December.

Seven Brides For Seven Brothers, which runs from 3 until 8 February, is a new, restaged version of the classic American musical while Tonight’s The Night—The Rod Stewart musical hits the New Alexandra from 24 February until 1 March.

Due to “unprecedented demand”, a week has been added to West Side Story which now runs from Tuesday 1 April until Saturday 19 April.
