Writing Competition for Off the Block #8

Reading-based award-winning Reading Between the Lines Theatre Company is inviting applications to enter its fourth writing competition for Off the Block.

For the competition, participants will have six hours on one day to write a short play inspired by a stage direction chosen by the company's directors.

All entries are read by a panel of theatre professionals with the winner's play performed alongside other work at Off the Block on 24 May at South Street Arts Centre.

Off the Block is now in its 8th year and is described by company director Toby Davies as “unique, exceptionally fun and a major adrenalin shot.”

Applicants should e-mail [email protected] with a CV and a short introduction to be received by 6PM on 26 April.
