Kubrick

David Byrne
Pleasance Courtyard

Anyone expecting something edifying and educating about Stanley Kubrick will be disappointed by this alternative comedy

It features an Englishman called Alan Conway, played after death not only by the writer / director but also a trio of actresses. The reason for this is not too clear.

Conway was apparently the pseudonym of a real conman who persuaded people that he was the American film director.

For 50 long minutes, challenged by Andy McLeod as Conway’s son, they talk seemingly random nonsense, or to be more accurate, usually shout it.

This will either tickle visitors or leave them completely baffled.
