Square Go takes as its subject a couple of Scottish 13-year-olds awaiting the fight of a lifetime when school comes out at 3:35.
In its efforts to replicate the thoughts and behaviour of the teenagers, the show seems very clearly directed towards two possible audiences.
First, teenagers are likely to recognise and appreciate the issues that MAKS (sic) and Stevie respectively played by Scott Fletcher and Gavin Jon Wright face.
Secondly, given the constant efforts of the actors to whip up the audience into a baying frenzy, anyone who enjoys TV game shows on a Saturday night or fight night productions, particularly American wrestling will probably feel in their element and have a whale of a time.
At the other end of the scale, anyone seeking serious theatre, which attempts to look into the souls of individuals or make statements about the nature of society is likely to be severely disappointed.
