The Mystery Of The Raddlesham Mumps – tour starts 14 October

The Mystery of the Raddlesham Mumps by award-winning, multi-disciplinary writer and BBC 6 Music Poet in Residence Murray Lachlan Young tours again to entertain the young of all ages.

It tells the story of orphan Crispin de Quincy de Faversham Clumps, left alone in the huge ancestral home he has inherited, but Kenilworth the butler has tales of Crispin's eccentric ancestors to tell.

The show, adapted from the book, takes the form of a funny and entertaining epic poem, to be enjoyed by lovers of Harry Potter, Lemony Snicket, The Brothers Grimm and all things gothic.

The Mystery of the Raddlesham Mumps is performed by Murray Lachlan Young and Joe Allen and is directed by Nina Hajiyianni with associate director Scott Hurran. Music is by Arun Ghosh, movement is by Laura Williamson Biggs and VR and animation is by MBD LTD.

It is produced by Matthew Linley Creative Projects in association with Action Transport Theatre and Eastern Angles.

Performances are preceded by the opportunity to ‘play’ in the immersive world of Raddlesham Mumps available for Android mobile and tablets and on VR Oculus (free of charge to download from Google Play Store / Oculus App).

The Mystery of the Raddlesham Mumps visits Wilton's Music Hall London, Touchstones Rochdale, The Kirkgate Centre Cockermouth, Ormskirk Library, Z-arts Manchester, The Citadel St Helens, Waterside Arts Sale, Richard Burton Theatre Cardiff, Whitby Hall Ellesmere Port, Key Theatre Peterborough, Tarvin Village Hall and The Egg, Theatre Royal Bath.

Macbeth – tour starts 15 October

Award-winning Proteus Theatre has reinterpreted Shakespeare’s Macbeth as a corporate thriller set in London during the stock market crash of 1987.

Working with Ad Infinitum’s George Mann as movement consultant, the company has produced a physical piece played out to a soundtrack of 'eighties classics, with original music by Paul Wild and fight direction by Jonathon Waller.

Proteus artistic director Mary Swan directs Hassan Maarfi as Macbeth and Kudzanayi Chiwawa as Lady Macbeth, with Adrian Decosta, Jessica Andrade and Adam Buksh.

Macbeth visits Luton Library Theatre, Norden Farm Centre for the Arts Maidenhead, Trinity Arts Centre Bristol, Brewhouse Taunton, Hanger Farm Arts Centre Totton, Farnham Maltings Surrey, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, The Auden Theatre Gresham’s School Norfolk and Connaught Theatre Worthing.

Lovecraft (Not The Sex Shop In Cardiff) / Cer I Grafu… Sori… Garu!, the début show of writer and performer Carys Eleri, tours wales in both English and Welsh language versions.

This one-woman, science-comedy musical show about the neuroscience of love and loneliness featuring a soundtrack of original, multi-genre songs was first seen at Wales Millennium Centre, going on to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and winning a Best Cabaret Fringe Award at the Adelaide Fringe.

BAFTA-nominated Eleri, who will be known to S4C television views for hit series Parch, has now created a Welsh language adaptation of the show, Cer i Grafu… sori… GARU! and tours both.

The show is produced by Carys Eleri and Wales Millennium Centre, it is directed by Mared Swain and the music is produced by Branwen Munn.
