The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

The National Theatre’s multi award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Stockport-born Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon’s best-selling book, returns to The Lowry to complete its year-long tour, which started its life in Salford last Christmas.

Director Marianne Elliott, who co-directed War Horse which played twice at The Lowry, was brought up in Manchester and her production won the show the prestigious Manchester Theatre Award for Best Visiting Production.

It tells the story of Christopher, who is 15 and has an extraordinary brain but is ill-equipped to interpret everyday life.

Curious Incident received seven Olivier Awards in 2013, including Best New Play, Best Director, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design and is simultaneously running at the Gielgud Theatre in London and on Broadway as well as touring.

It runs from November 17 to 21.
