The Woman in Black at The Lowry

The Woman in Black celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and returns to The Lowry in Salford from May 6-11.

The classic production combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality of film noir to bring a tale of vengeance from beyond the grave.

Not for the faint-hearted, the classic play adapted from Susan Hill’s novel of the same name has been survived by seven million audience members since opening in 1987 in Scarborough, followed by a transfer to the West End in 1989.

In this production Julian Forsyth plays the role of Arthur Kipps and Antony Eden takes the role of The Actor. Both Forsyth and Eden have previously performed at the Fortune Theatre in the West End.
