Derby Theatre has announced the cast of its Christmas 2015 production Cinderella.
Derby-born Esmé Sears who was in Derby Theatre’s 2014 production A Christmas Carol will return to play Cinderella. Chris Price who was also in A Christmas Carol will be part of the cast. He appeared on the Derby Theatre stage twice in 2014, in Mike Kenny’s adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey and as Milo in Northern Stage’s Catch 22.
The cast of Cinderella also includes Katherine Toy, Chris Lindon, Nicholas Coutu-Langmead, Rebecca Naylor and Stephanie Rutherford.
Jake Waring, who hails from Derby, will join the cast under the Brian Weaver Fellowship which provides an aspiring actor with the opportunity to perform in two professional productions.

“The story is full of magic and sparkle and our version will be a fun and stylish interpretation for all the family. Our Cinderella will be feisty and ready to take on the world with a pack of mischievous rats who have the ability to sing and play live instruments!”
Cinderella is adapted by Olivier Award winner Mike Kenny. Design is by Nettie Scriven, costume design by Tim Heywood and composer is Ivan Stott.
Cinderella runs at Derby Theatre from Friday 4 December until Saturday 9 January 2016.
