Chichester Festival Theatre casting update

Joshua MGuire will play Mozart in Peter Shaffer's Amadeus alongside Rupert Everett as Salieri in a production that will also feature Jessie Buckley and John Standing.

Joshua McGuire is currently starring in Privacy at the Donmar Warehouse. His credits also include Posh at the Royal Court and West End, the title role in Hamlet at Shakespeare's Globe and BBC 2's The Hour.

Jessie Buckley plays Constanze Weber and John Standing will be Franz Orsini-Rosenberg. The cast also includes Simon Jones as Joseph II Emperor of Austria, Richard Clifford as Baron Gottfried van Swieten and Timothy Kightley as Count Johann Killian von Strack.

Amadeus will be the first production staged in the Festival Theatre, where the RENEW redevelopment is approaching completion, running from 12 July to 2 August.

Joining already announced Rosalie Craig and Shaun Evans in Miss Julie/Black Comedy will be Jonathan Coy as Colonel Melkett, Mike Grady as Schuppanzigh, Paul Ready as Brindsley and Marcia Warren as Miss Furnival.

Miss Julie/Black Comedy is at the Minerva Theatre 4 July to 9 August.

Also, Paulette Randall will direct Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune by Terrence McNally, which is at the Minerva Theatre from 6 November to 6 December, and Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband will be at the Festival Theatre from 21 November to 13 December.
