Chocolate Charlie holds Children In Need gala

A special Gala performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will take place on 7 November in aid of BBC Children in Need.

Star of BBC Radio 2, Sir Terry Wogan, will host the event which will see an array of celebrities in the audience; other theatregoers may upgrade their tickets to VIP.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is based on the work by Roald Dahl; the book is by David Greig, with music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman. It is directed by Sam Mendes and the cast, which includes Nigel Planer and Clive Carter, is led by multi award–winning Douglas Hodge.
